AFTER LAST YEAR'S inaugural Volkswagen and Audi track day at Croft, blessed with brilliant sunshine on a cold, dry day - perfect conditions for circuit driving - we could hardly hope for the same again this year. Indeed, as Saturday April 29 dawned grey, cold and windy it seemed that we were out of luck, although it didn't deter a full complement of drivers at the day's first briefing. By mid-morning, though, their faith was rewarded with a change of conditions, with the rest of the day becoming dry and bright, bringing out many more entrants and spectators during the afternoon.
