WE DIDN'T REALISE it at the time, but we may well have had a sneak preview of KW's DDC suspension kit quite a long time ago, at the launch of the Mk 6 Golf in Iceland, in October 2008 to be exact. One of the vehicles on display was a specially equipped Mk 6 Golf belonging to Volkswagen's Head of Design Walter de 'Silva. Finished with special paintwork, it also had leather interior trim and 18-inch alloys. But those of us who looked closer soon noticed its reduced ride height, and a peek under the wheelarch showed the distinctive yellow and purple colours of a height-adjustable KW suspension kit.
