Motorcaravans: CM-C Ci-Elle - Compact and complete

Chris Burlace checks out a model from Concept Multi-Car which is all its own work. LIKE MANY IN the motorcaravan business Concept Multi-Car, based at Hythe in Kent, has its origins in a DIY project. In the early Eighties Alf and Hilary Shortland bought a secondhand Bay-window Type 2 and transformed it into their first Camper. Much admired by family and friends, requests to build similar examples soon followed, such that motorcaravan conversions became a growing sideline to Alf's building business. In 1988 the couple decided to plunge full-time into the world of motorcaravans and so Concept Multi-Car [C M-C) was born.
