摘要

Significant percentages of the world's resources are located in Russia: 4.6% of the total world oil reserves, 30.7% of the natural gas reserves, 15.9% of the coal reserves and 14% of the uranium reserves [1,2]. The primary energy consumption is dominated by natural gas, followed by oil with 19% of the total energy consumption. Coal's share amounts to 18%, while nuclear and hydro energy represent 5 % and 6 %, respectively, of the total primary energy consumption. Coal plays also a dominant role in the power generation mix in Russia. Despite the increased utilisation of natural gas in the Russian power sector (approximately 62 to 65 %), it is projected that the coal share in the fuel balance throughout the country will be increased in the near future [3].
