Grapes and terrain. Nutrient status of Sangiovese and Trebbiano Romagnolo in Cesena.

The nutrient status of 4 soil series in Cesena and of Sangiovese and Trebbiano Romagnolo grapevines growing in this area were monitored over 3 years (1992-94). Data are tabulated. Foliar nutrient levels were lower in Trebbiano Romagnolo than in Sangiovese, particularly in the case of K. It is recommended that Trebbiano Romagnolo vines should be grown on Santa Lucia and Celincordia soils which are rich in K.
