Specialized in partial sand blasting of small bottles, Sand-Dec developed a technique of "mechanical frosting". It involves a conventional sand blasting with fine corundum grains and a "polishing" of the glass surface with glass microbeads. This process gives a frosted aspect like chemical etching.
