Last November, the Department of Argriculture, Food and the Marine established a review group to look into all aspects of Fur farming in Ireland, including the effectiveness of existing welfare controls and the benefits the.sector brings to the economy. The review group is due to report back shortly to the Minister for Agriculture, Simon Coveney on what action if any should be taken.
