Boring and ploughing in the mud-flats

TRACTO-Technik and Georg Fockersperger GmbH recently founded a trenchless alliance whereby Tracto-Technik provides steerable boring units for trenchless pipe installations and Georg Fockersperger GmbH provides cable and pipe ploughs. Both systems complement each other extremely well. Steerable boring units are usually preferred for solid surfaces and for crossings and the cable and pipe ploughs are advantageous in open, rural terrains. The partnership aims at a shared marketing and distribution strategy in all international markets. FIRST COMBINED PROJECT Off the back of this strategic alliance a project undertaken at Hallig, a small North Sea island with 18 inhabitants and large mud-flats, required contractor Paasch, from Damendorf, a subsidiary of Giistrow, to accomplish an unusual job.
