Major highway improvement completed in East Anglia

December saw the official opening of a much welcomed dual carriageway upgrade to the All in East Anglia which promises reduced congestion and better connectivity for businesses. Norfolk bound motorists driving home for Christmas in recent weeks are more likely to have reached their families on time - and in better moods - than in previous years, following completion of a 15km upgrade to the All. Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin officially opened the Fiveways to Thetford improvement on Friday 12 December. The scheme promises to reduce congestion for 26,000 daily vehicles which previously used what was a notorious bottleneck, on the last remaining section of single carriageway between the M11 and Norwich.
