Planning a farm business for later life: (A business that offers financial rewards and a wonderful new lifestyle.)

Carol and Jeffry Farman own a 150 acre farm at Flowerdale in central Victoria. They currently run over 200 alpacas on this stud farm and are building up their enterprise to around 400. The Farmans have a 30 bedroom conference retreat on the property.In addition to corporate conferences they conduct weekend seminars for new alpaca breeders. Today, many people are approaching the end of a busy career. The kids are educated. The mortgage is paid off. So what of the future? A property investment solution or maybe a share portfolio? (Not much enjoyment here to share with the grand kids.) Some in the "Baby Boomer" generation are now looking for a different solution. Many are considering options that will provide a more relaxed lifestyle and a reliable source of income for the future years. For some the fresh air and the opportunity to live the country lifestyle is difficult to resist.
