Starlo Stix and a new Shimano mix

Heavy-duty spinning rods are popular for beach and shore-based estuary fishing with baits or lures. The Starlo Stix rods are designed by well-known fishing writer, Steve Starling, who, working in close alliance with rod builder Ian Miller, has come upwith the series. There are 15 rods in the range to cater for all types of fishing, from light spin and baitcasting to heavy-duty jig/game rods. The blanks are an eyecatching electric blue colour, making them stand out in the crowd. The high-performanceguides have lightweight frames with extra-hard ceramic inserts suitable for braid line. The graphite reel seats keep weight down and make casting easy for extended periods, even with a length of 11 feet. The grips are made from fine density cork.
