Butanediol Plant to Start Operations in Malaysia

BASF Petronas Chemicals Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian-German joint venture, expects its butanediol facility in Gebeng, Pahang, to begin operations soon. A BASF Petronas Chemicals official said the butanediol facility, comprising two plants, will produce 100,000 tonnes of butanediol, tetrahydrofurane and g-butyrolatore every year.
