Miyoshi Oil & Fat Co.plants to market a bidoegradable liquid plastic.The plastic is made from polylactic acid,derived from corn starch.The company has already used this biodegradable liquid plastic to develop a paint that hardens at room temperature,and it also sees applications for the product as a packaging-film adhesive and for the manufacture of coated paper.
