摘要

One of the barriers to teaching foraging, wilderness survival and wild foods gathering to groups of students is the scarcity and sometimes outright absence of wild foods that can be gathered, prepared and eaten on your own land. At our Hawk Circle Wilderness Education campus, we have almost 200 acres of our own property and some areas of adjoining land where we can look for food, and in many instances, harvest carefully during our classes and trainings. It's a great feeling to learn about foraging and to be able to do it directly from the land, without having to drive to get there.
