Huntsman Sells TR-52 Business to Henan Billions to Meet EU Anti-Trust Conditions

Huntsman has described the TR-52 business as representing about 30,000 t.p.a. of TiO2 pigment output, generating annual earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of approximately $US 5-10 million. According to Mr Thierry Segard (of the UNSA trade-union), the production of TR-52 represents about 40% of the total current pigment output at Calais. If this estimate is correct, it would indicate that total production of TiO2 at Calais will be around 75,000 tonnes this year.
