Fraud Abounds in Green Claims

Earlier this year, Environmental Packaging International (EPI), Jamestown, R.I., audited the environmental claims for all packaging vendors at the Walmart Sustainable Packaging Expo, which is now held every year in Bentonville, Ark., Walmart's corporate headquarters. EPI, which specializes in environmental packaging stewardship requirements, reviewed the packaging success story that each company was required to submit.
