Canada Launches Regulatory Initiative Against Microbeads In Personal Care

Canadian manufacturers, importers and exporters of microbead-containing personal-care products have until Oct. 15 to submit information to Environment Canada on their related operations under an initiative announced Aug. 1 to regulate the ingredients' use. The department says it intends to align regulatory efforts with those in the U.S. "to the extent possible."
