Maintenance... and more: Paddy Baker looks ahead to the Maintec show, which promises much for those with an interest in maintenance - and more besides

The leading exhibition for the industrial maintenance professional, Maintec -which runs from 1 to 3 March at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham - continues to be very wide in scope. In addition to covering more traditional areas such as condition monitoring and computerised maintenance management systems, its remit has been expanded in recent years. New sections have been added: FAMEC for factory and maintenance equipment, and the Energy Management Centre for systems and practices that enable companies to become more energy efficient. Health and safety, environmental management, and training have also grown in importance at the show in recent years.
