Excess exudate is one of the most difficult aspects of wound management. It can be extremely distressing to patients and can result in heavy, leaking dressings, soiled clothing and bedding, and damage to surrounding skin. This paper provides practical guidance on the products and techniques currently available and how to tailor them to the needs of individual patients.
