I am grateful to the Executive Council and members of Indian Botanical Society for electing me the President of Indian Botanical Society, a premier body of plant sciences. On this occasion I remember with deep reverence my great teacher, Professor S.Sinha who initiated my interest in Botany and taught me fungi at Agra College, Agra. I always admire his deep knowledge of the subject and masterly teaching of Botany. Whatever little I have been able to do is entirely due to encouragement and inspiration provided by him. Today I shall talk on some major aspects of mycotoxins which often act as 'hidden killers' in our food and feed stuffs.
