The Joint Test and Evaluation Program: Quick Reaction Tests (QRTs) for the Joint Warfighter

The Joint Test and Evaluation Program constantly strives to modify and adjust its Quick Reaction Test (QRT) business model to make it as responsive and attractive as possible to potential customers. This novel approach and willingness to think outside the box on a case-by-case basis has made the QRT particularly desirable to warfighters in rapidly fielding solutions to their recognized problems and issues. Ever since the first QRT was directed in Fiscal Year 2004, seven tests have been funded with resulting test products and results varying from extremely useful and indispensable to nice-to-know but needing more testing and evaluation. Important challenges, objectives, partnerships and lessons learned must be addressed when considering whether or not to include the QRT in a test and evaluation toolbox.
