When You Think Developmental Test, Think of the Air Force Test Center

The purpose of this article is to introduce Maj Gen Arnold W. Bunch, the Air Force Test Center s first commander. In this interview Gen Bunch shares his vision and goals that are core to building a common purpose across the newly merged sites comprising the AFTC. This article provides insight into Gen Bunch's strategy and thinking and his aspiration for the AFTC to become the 'tester of choice for acquisition decision makers.' Gen Bunch elaborates on the new mission statement of the AFTC and advocates for effectiveness and efficiencies in resource sharing, standardizing processes and improving warfighter support across the enterprise. Finally, Gen Bunch discusses the challenges the AFTC is facing and the successes achieved to date by the collaborative effort of the men and women of the FTC.
