Olmsted syndrome: A new case complicated with easily broken hair and treated with oral retinoid

Olmsted syndrome is a rare congenital disorder with major diagnostic traits of bilateral mutilating palmoplantar keratoderma and perio-rificial keratotic plaques.1 Here, we report a new case of a 7-year-old Chinese boy who also presented with easily broken hair, bone changes and growth retardation with acitretin treatment for 3 years. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of easily broken hair in association with Olmsted syndrome.
