BINARY DIFFUSION COEFFICIENTS OF HELIUM/HYDROGEN ISOTOPE MIXTURES

Mass diffusion coefficients have been measured for the six binary mixtures formed from He-3 and He-4 with hydrogen, deuterium, and tritium. An intermolecular potential of the Hartree-Fock-dispersion form is presented which, when employed in the quantum mechanical theoretical evaluation of the diffusion coefficient, correlates experimental results for all six systems within the experimental uncertainty.
