An information management architecture for production planning in a virtual enterprise

摘要

An emerging enterprise model for a virtual enterprise requires new production planning and control solutions and a supporting information environment. Based on the CORBA standard and client-server technologies, this paper proposes a new information management approach and a corresponding information management architecture. Its implementation in ESPRIT 20544 (X-CITTIC) is also introduced.
