CATHERINE JONES ACQUIRES IEWELLERY MANUFACTURING BUS

Cambridge-based jewellery retailer Catherine Jones has acquired the German design and manufacturing company Becker Design. As a well-established independent retail jeweller since 1963, this consolidates the company's move into manufacturing its own product. Catherine Jones worked closely with Becker for many years but in recent times, the company contracted. Even so, it continued to supply the store, with a range of fine pieces set with diamonds or unusually cut coloured stones, or with silver and gold pieces with a finish that is unique to Becker Design.
