Effectiveness of Windrow Composting and Disinfection for Broiler Litter Reuse

An attempt was made to investigate the broiler performance raised on used litter subjected to windrow composting and disinfectant spray by using Gluteraldehyde - (Kohrsolin-Th) at 50% concentration. The windrow size of 4 feet length, 2.5 feet width and 1feet 3 inches heightwas found to be suitable in this experiment. The average pile temperature reached 46.93 ± 2.29 °C during the primary stage and 51.75 ± 1.48 °C during the secondary stage.
