摘要

A two-year field experiment was conducted during the winter (rabi) seasons of 2004-06 in Udaipur to evaluate the effect of sowing dates, microbial inoculation and weed management system on the nutrient uptake, protein content and economics of fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) under sub-humid southern plains and Aravalli hills zone of Rajasthan, India. The maximum value of N, P content and their uptake, protein content, yield, net returns were recorded when fenugreek was sown on 4 November. Microbial inoculation enhanced the N and P contents as well as their uptake by seed and haulm, protein content, net returns and B:C ratio. Higher N and P contents and their uptake by seed and haulm and protein content were registered with 2 manual weedings 20 and 40 days after sowing but noted at par with preemergence application of pendimethalin with B:C ratio of 1.55.
