Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) and Its Application in Mining Sector

摘要

Due to its excellent properties in terms of strength, ductility, hardness and wear resistance as well as easy to cast near net-shape components at competitive price, austempered ductile iron (ADI) has become an alternate choice to forged steel or cast steel components. This paper describes near net-shape manufacturing process of ADI components and the application of ADI as an alternate material to automobile and mining sectors.
