Features include a 40 percent lighter NiMH battery and a redesigned blower unit that provides airflow of 8 CFM, which exceeds NIOSH standards of 6 CFM, according to the manufacturer.The respirator is built specifically for the industrial welding environment. It includes a flame-resistant and crushproof hose, which the company says is the only one in the industry, as well as an industrial-strength motor unit. An audible alarm warns the user of low airflow or low battery power.
