In this month's Special Feature II article, we begin a two-part review of the "bicentennial meeting" of the International Symposium on Group Five Compounds. In Part I this month, we address the developments in mixed metal oxides, synthetic methods, and zeolites and silicate-based molecular sieves. Next month, we cover oxidation/ammoxidation, oxidative dehydrogenation and selective oxidation processes.
