When oxide superconductor was discovered 14 years ago, many expected oxide superconductor would be applied for industrial use in near future, however, such expectation was far from reality and progress in technology looks stagnant. However, wire manufacturing, large magnet manufacturing and cooling technology have steadily progressed so that oxide superconductors are now at dawn of operational use.
