Success in the development of 'bio-agricultural chemical for prevention and elimination of the colletotrichum disease'

The Japan Science and Technology Corporation (JST) has announced that success has been achieved in the research work, which was carried out by Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd. over a period from march of 1997 to September of 2000 (total development cost of about 200 million yen) as a fiscal year 1996 research project of the JST subcontract development system. On the basis of a "bioagricultural chemical for the prevention and elimination of the colletotrichum disease" developed by a research team at the Applied Biology Research Laboratory of the Biotechnology Department, Tochigi Agricultural Experimental Station.
