Methods of Measurement and Analyzation in Laseracoustics with Broadband Laser Excitation

In this work different methods for the measurement and analyzation of surface acoustic waves are presented. Each method is based on broadband excitation of ultrasound waves and interferometric detection and is suited for specific applications. At first, the methods are explained theoretically and are then applied to a specific task using a laser-acoustic setup. The experimental part of this work deals with the measurement of polymer and nickel coatings as well as crack detection in aluminium plates.
