Jindal Steel Additionally Purchases 2.57% of WLC’s Shares

Jindal Steel and Power Limited, India additionally purchased 2.57% of shares of Wollongong Coal Limited (WLC), a coal mining company in Australia. Accordingly, Jindal Steel’s shareholding ratio in WLC rose to 74.42% from 71.85%. As reported earlier, in October 2013, Jindal Steel obtained the majority shares of Gujarat NRE Coking Coal Limited (GNM) and took control of this company. The name of GNM was changed to Wollongong Coal in February 2014.
