Tohoku's Haramachi Power Generation Unit #2 Starts Trial Operation

The power generation unit #2 (coal-fired, output: 1,000 MW) at Haramachi Thermal Power Plant Of Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc. is anticipated to start a trial operation on November 3. After the boiler being ignited on October 29, this unit is now under final adjustment and has been restored a few weeks ahead of the original schedule being end November. The operation will start for the first time in about 1 year and 8 months since the operation was suspended due to the damage by East Japan Earthquake Disaster on March 11, 2011.
