China's Tianjin Petro Halts Operation Of Its New Ethylene Facilities

The new ethylene facilities of Sinopec Sabic Tianjin Petrochemical Co., Ltd., (SSTPC), which had started operation this year with production capacity of one million MT per year, have been suspended since September 12th. Mechanical troubles seemed to have occurred, but the details are still unknown. An official of the company said that it is possible to resume operation within a week.
