Press Release - Marubeni Awarded Contract for Construction of Large Coal-Fired Thermal Power Plant from Vietnam Electricity (EVN) in Vietnam

Marubeni Corporation (Marubeni) has been awarded a contract for construction of Nghi Son (1) Coal Fired Thermal Power Plant with the total gross capacity of 600MW on 1st June 2010, from Vietnam Electricity (EVN), and this plant is the largest class Marubeni has constructed in Vietnam. The contract is worth approximately 90 billion Japanese Yen (equiv. in USD 990million), which is supported by Japanese ODA Loan funded from Japanese Government through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) (1st Stage Loan Agreement : Approx. Japanese Yen 20 billion, signed in March 2007).
