Indonesian Coal Wins Contracts at US$70.50 in S.Korea’s Joint Bid

In the joint bid for thermal coal (K.Genco-Coal-2014-JT03) invited by South Korea’s five power-generating companies led by Korea East-West Power Co., Ltd. (EWP) that was closed on April 15th, three Indonesian coal suppliers won the contracts for total 700,000 MT at US$70.50/MT on FOB, net calorific value (NCV) of 6,080kcal/kg basis. Consequently, the contract quantity turned out to be 140,000 MT larger than the bid quantity of 560,000 MT.
