BHPB to Set up New Company by Demerging Less Profitable Business

On August 19, BHP Billiton Limited (BHPB) announced its intention to demerge less profitable businesses like coals and nonferrous metals and set up a new company. Mr. Graham Kerr, BHPB's existing Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is slated to become Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a new company and Mr. David Crawford, the former CEO of BHPB is slated to become Chairman.
