METI Officially Requests Oil Companies To Raise Rate Equipped With RFCC Unit

The Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, or METI, officially requested oil companies to increase rate equipped with residue fluid catalytic cracking unit, or RFCC unit, from current 10% to around 13% by fiscal year 2013, which is from April 2013 to March 2014. As the new regulation is imposed, oil companies must choose to make huge investment to raise the rate or to reduce their capacity of crude oil distillation unit.
