Chubu Electric Power unifies a window for coal procurements to CHUBU Energy Trading Inc. (CET) from the fiscal year 2010 (from April 2010). The company has agreed with EDF Trading Ltd., a subsidiary of Electric Development of France (EDF), upon expansion of business association mainly in the field of coal procurements for electric power generation. The idea is originated from a consideration that by integrated control of all the procured coal by CET, quick reaction to price fluctuations at the market as well as to changing demand for coal would become possible.
