In 2010 salable coal production at new metallurgical coal mine, Lake Vermont in Queensland, is raised to 4,000,000 MT per year. The increased portion of the production is expected to be exported to Japan and other markets. Lake Vermont is opencut coal mine located 15 km north east of Dysart in Queensland where production was launched in January 2010. The types of produced coal are low ash, low sulphur hard coking coal and PCI coal with production ratio of about 67 percent of hard coking coal and about 33 percent of PCI coal
