U.S. to Stay Firmly Influential in Middle East: Caruso

Guy F. Caruso, Senior Adviser of Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), said in a lecture meeting held recently in Tokyo, "I believe that the U.S. will keep its very influential position in Middle East, even if it reduces oil import volume from the area," with regard to the possible changes in its position in the Gulf when its reliance on the Middle Eastern oil supplies becomes lower in the near future.
