Latest Development Plan on Maules Creek Project

On August 27, Whitehaven Coal Ltd., Australia announced its latest development plan on Maules Creek project driven by the Company in the State of NSW. Maules Creek project aims to exploit Maules Creek surface mining area located in 20 km northeast of Boggabri, NSW and export coal produced at this mining area predominantly to Japan and other Asian countries. The interest in this project is 75% owned by Whitehaven Coal, 15% by ITOCHU Corporation and 10% by J-Power respectively.
