Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and Asahi Kasei Chemicals had planned to make a decision to dismantle one of their two crackers by the end of March,but both companies recently postponed the decision. This is because they came to a conclusion that it is hard for them to decide which cracker should be permanently closed as it is not easy to make a precise forecast about future demand at this moment.
