VLGC Chartered by Astomos to Be 1st Vessel to Transit New Panama Canal

A very large gas carrier (VLGC) chartered by Japan-based Astomos Energy Corporation, which is one of thelargest LPG-specialized player in the world, has been decided to be the first vessel to pass through Panama’s newlyexpanded canal. This was unveiled at the gathering recently held for Japanese business press. The vessel is scheduled totransit the canal on June 27th and the Company plans to direct it to Japan.
