QLD State Government Approves EIS on Red Hill Project

The State Government of QLD has recently approved the environmental impact statement (EIS) on Red Hillmetallurgical coal project planned by BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA). Accordingly, this project has taken onestep forward toward materialization.Red Hill metallurgical coal project aims to exploit Red Hill underground mining area, an unexplored metallurgicalcoal mining area in the Bowen Basin in the State of QLD as well as expand the existing coal mines such as Broadmeadowcoal mine and Goonyella-Riverside Complex.
