The price of hard coking coal for blast furnace is anticipated to be cut for the period from April June in 2015 as well. This is because the spot market for metallurgical coal in the Asian region has now been eased furthermore partly owing to China’s drastic curtailment in the import of metallurgical coal since entering 2015. In fact, currently the spot export price (FOBT:US$/MT) of LV hard coking coal produced in the State of QLD, Australia meant for China is slightly over US$100, down by nearly US$10 from the beginning of the year.
