Building standards in China have been becoming increasingly strict as the country builds more highly insulated, flame retardant buildings. The standards are rising for all the aspects of a building including window-frames and the demands on these components is high rise buildings are getting tougher. New regulations which came into force in 2016 offer prospects for polyurethane to capture a significant slice of this market, Sun Shenggen, chairman of Shanghai Collodin Material Scientific and Technological Development, said in an exclusive interview at UTECH Asia 2016.
